CSB Introduces the New Extreme High Rate 12V Battery - XHRL Series
CSB Battery announces the release of the latest VRLA battery, the XHRL series. The XHRL (Extreme High Rate & Long Life) series feature the following batteries based on a 15 minutes rate to 1.67V per cell.

- Group 24 XHRL12360W, 12V 360W
- Group 27 XHRL12410W, 12V 410W
- Group 31 XHRL12475W, 12V 475W
- Group 31T XHRL12620W, 12V 620W
By utilizing the Max-E2 technology, XHRL batteries are specifically designed for high rate applications such as uninterruptible power supplies (UPS). Max-E2 technology is a combination of proprietary processes and patented technologies to maximize Energy density by maximizing the Efficiency. XHRL batteries feature a new paste formulation to maximize plate surface area for high rate discharges. In addition, enhanced paste and plate formulations significantly improved durability and service life. As a result, the XHRL series has a 10-year design life .
XHRL series is the result of years of continued research and development. This leads to an average of 20% higher energy density over other standard high rate batteries in the same BCI group sizes. Consequently, this allows for more power in reduced cabinet space. With increasing data center real estate cost, reductions in the number of cabinets and the longer run time in the existing cabinet footprints, will ultimately reduce total cost of ownerships. In addition, the reduced weight will improve ease of installation as well as lower transportation cost.
Furthermore, XHRL batteries are constructed in reinforced flame retardant polypropylene cases (rated 28 L.O.I 94 V-0). Flame arrestor vents provide extra safety while highly efficient self-sealing valves minimize gassing and premature water loss.
