Never heavily hit or improperly carry the battery.
Never short the terminals.
Never disassemble or reassemble the battery.
If the battery cracks due to mishandling and dilute sulfuric acid contacts skin or clothes, wash it off immediately with water. When dilute sulfuric acid contacts one's eyes, wash them with a lot of water and see a doctor.
After using the battery (i.e. discharging), recharge it as soon as possible.
When the battery is not to be used for a long time, store it in a cool place.
